Formula Drift Las Vegas is a miserable, hot, windy event. But the crowd shows up, and they showed up to see a great event.

On Friday, Kyle Mohan threw down a qualifying run that netted him a score of 91.3 – good for SECOND and the best qualifying effort in his Formula Drift career.

On Saturday, competition day, Kyle advanced to the top-16 while Tyler McQuarrie advanced to the final and took his first Formula Drift Pro Championship win of his career.

It’s been crazy around here! Lots of things going on:
- Gatorz Challenge of the Americas at Calspeed last weekend, where we ran the webcast for the series, and our clients Tony Kart West and Louie Pagano were competing.
- We announced the judges of the Xtreme Drift Circuit, as well as several program announcements for the XDC.
- We also announced the expansion of Magnus Racing into the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, in a Porsche Cayman with John Potter and Bryan Sellers driving.

Next week will be a busy week as well. We are off to the Grand Prix of Miami this weekend, and will be making a major announcement with one of our Formula Drift clients.

We will be working with Tony Kart West, from Phoenix, Ariz. throughout 2010 on their media and press needs. We did an announcement this morning on the driver line-up of their race team, which you can see here: http://www.ekartingnews.com/news_info.php?n=14448

We have just put together a deal for Formula Drift Las Vegas where our friend, Johnny Kanavas, will drive the Kyle Mohan RX-7 FC3S in this weekend’s Pro-Am competition. We tested with Johnny earlier this week at Adams Motorsports Park, where the car performed spectacularly and Johnny drove exceptionally well. We are really glad to have put this deal together with the help of Mazdatrix.com and Cooper Tire.
